The City of West Monroe will host its Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 1.
The ceremony will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. at the West Monroe City Hall parking lot located at 2305 N. 7th Street. The public is invited to view the official lighting of the City Hall Christmas Tree as well as several live Christmas Trees decorated by local elementary schools and local organizations.
The event will include the singing of Christmas Carols by local groups. Children are encouraged to drop off their letters to Santa Claus at a special mail box at City Hall. The lighting ceremony is free and open to the public.
Attendees are asked to bring donations of non-perishable food items and unwrapped toys to place under the City Hall Christmas Tree. Donated items will be distributed to needy families by the West Monroe Fire and Police Departments.
