The City of West Monroe recently announces its events and programs for the 2023 holiday season.
In a press conference with the City of Monroe and Discover Monroe-West Monroe, the City of West Monroe announced a number of holiday activities taking place in November and December.
Holiday activities kick off with the annual downtown holiday open house on Sunday, Nov. 5 and continue throughout the month.
One of the highlights of the holiday season is the annual Kiwanis Club of Greater Ouachita Christmas Parade set for Saturday, Dec. 2. The parade, which will roll at 3:30 p.m. on December 2, travels through downtown West Monroe and Monroe. The theme for this year's parade is "Ugly Sweaters."
The day will include a 5K, live music, food vendors and a spectacular fireworks show over the Ouachita River at 6 p.m. To sign up to enter the parade, please visit www.monroelakiwanis.org
Christmas at Kiroli will also return this year. The drive-thru Christmas lights display will open to the public at Kiroli Park on Friday, Nov. 24. A full schedule of Christmas at Kiroli events can be found at www.christmasatkiroli.com
