NELA Celtic Festival to be held Saturday, Oct. 7 at Lazarre Park

The annual Northeast Louisiana Celtic Festival will take place on Saturday, October 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lazarre Park, located along the Ouachita River in the City of West Monroe.

The festival will feature live Celtic entertainment and dancers and food and artisan vendors. A highlight of the festival will be the Highland Games featuring Backyard Rebellion. The Highland Games are a highly-entertainment, centuries-old athletic tradition rooted in the Gaelic spirit. The games are open to amateur athletes and professional athletes. Demonstrations and mini-coaching will be available.

The Kid Zone is sponsored by Melanie Massey Physical Therapy and Mojoy and will include youth Highland Games, inflatable jumpers, storytime and songs, dog herding demonstration, crafts and much more.
