West Monroe residents and businesses encouraged to take broadband survey

The West Monroe Broadband Committee is seeking citywide resident and business input on the current availabiltiy and quality of high-speed Internet (broadband) services in your home or office.

The survey is an important part of the committee's goal of finding qualified Internet service providers to submit a network plan that will help West Monroe secure state and federal grants to fund availbilty for most of its citizens.

The survey will take less than 10 minutes to complete. Both surveys can be found at www.cityofwestmonroe.com/broadband

Hard copies of the survey can also be found at West Monroe City Hall, the West Ouachita Senior Center, West Monroe Community Center and West Monroe branches of the Ouachita Parish Library.

The Committee reminds parish residents their input is also needed by participating in the Delta Regional Authority (DRA) broadband mapping and speed test project. This mapping survey also helps to determine availability and speeds in West Monroe.
