Railroad Crossing at LA 34 Jonesboro Road to be closed Oct 1-2

The railroad crossing at LA 34 Jonesboro Road will be closed to all vehicular traffic on Saturday, Oct 1 and Sunday, Oct 2 while KCS Railroad performs crossing repairs and maintenance. The detour will be Interstate 20, La. Hwy. 617 (Thomas Road).

Fire hydrant flow testing to begin Aug. 16

The West Monroe Fire Department will begin fire hydrant flow testing on fire hydrants throughout the city, beginning August 16. There may be a temporary drop in water pressure and discolored water.

Free COVID vaccines available this Tuesday and Wednesday

The West Monroe Police Department will be offering free COVID vaccines this Tuesday and Wednesday to the public.

City water customers experiencing low water pressure; boil advisory in effect

City of West Monroe water customers are experiencing low water pressure due to unprecedented freezing temperatures. Customers are asked to conserve water when possible. A boil advisory is in effect until further notice.
