Multiple positions available throughout the City. Interviews are scheduled weekly for all qualified applicants.

GIS Administrator

Main function is to manage and coordinate all programs and activities of the City’s GIS functions including providing technical assistance and enhancement of programs to meet the needs of various City departments, government agencies, volunteer groups, and the public; and act as the City’s primary point-of-contact for GIS related issues.

Required Education and Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in geographic information systems, geography, engineering, or a related field.
2. Two (2) years of experience in GIS database management of an ArcGIS and/or AcuGIS database enterprise system.
3. Must have experience using ESRI enterprise products (ArcGIS Online, Desktop, extensions and GIS Server products).
4. Equivalent combination of education (4 years) and experience (2 years) may also be considered.

Preferred Education and Experience

1. Master’s degree in geographic information systems, geography, engineering, or a related field.
2. Two (2) years of GIS database management in a supervisory capacity.
3. GIS program administration
4. Experience in public utilities
5. SQL or PostgreSQL database knowledge
